A Guide to Hunting Pennsylvania Turkeys

A Guide to Hunting Pennsylvania Turkeys is off the presses

Award-winning outdoor writer and broadcaster Tom Fegely has written and illustrated the first all-around turkey hunting guide focused on the Keystone State. The brand new book – “A Guide to Hunting Pennsylvania Turkeys”—follows his highly-appraised 1994 and 2000 publications of “A Guide to Hunting Pennsylvania Whitetails.” The turkey book will be off the presses in early December.

The richly-illustrated work is chock full of helpful advice, tips and hints along with a healthy dose of “easy reading” in its 312 pages. To hit all the key points of turkey history, biology, hunting, safety, ethics and management, the author has included observations and thoughts on all aspects of the wild turkey from more than 50 Pennsylvanians under the banner of “Another View.” The varied viewpoints are liberally scattered throughout the work, along with the author’s personal writings gleaned from 30 years in pursuit of hens and toms. Some of the contributors are regionally or nationally known and others may be the hunter just down the street, an outdoor writer you’ve read or someone who has given time and energy to the 22,000-member Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

The guide’s 11 sections, 41 chapters and more than 250 photos delve into Pennsylvania’s past and present with an abundance of tips, tricks and techniques to make you a better turkey hunter and woodsman.
